Mahamudra, the "great symbol," is among the most profound meditation traditions of vajrayana Buddhism, but it is also extremely simple and direct. This introductory one-day retreat, suitable for both newer and advanced students, is modeled on the extensive mahamudra practice from the three-year retreat at Gampo Abbey.
The retreat will focus on the practices of shamatha and vipashyana, with emphasis on direct personal experience. This program is appropriate for all tantrikas and sadhakas as well as all students who have a serious intention to deepen their meditation practice.
Prerequisites: Participants should have completed Shambhala Training Level III or otherwise have the recommendation of a senior meditation instructor
